36th Senate District | Republican Leader

Senator Hollingsworth was elected to the California State Senate in November of 2002, after serving one term as the Assemblyman for the 66th District. The 36th Senate District includes portions of San Diego and Riverside Counties.

4th Senate District

Sam Aanestad is an oral and maxillofacial surgeon who was elected to the Legislature in 1998 to represent the 3rd Assembly District. In 2006, Aanestad was elected to serve a second term in the State Senate. The 4th Senate District, includes Butte, Colusa, Del Norte, Glenn, Nevada, Placer, Shasta, Siskiyou, Sutter, Tehama, Trinity and Yuba Counties.

18th Senate District

Roy Ashburn represents the residents of the 18th Senate District, which includes Kern, Tulare, Inyo and San Bernardino Counties. The Republican legislator was first elected to the Legislature's upper house in 2002.

15th Senate District

14th Senate District

In November of 2006, Dave was elected as the Representative of the 14th District to the California State Senate, garnering 67% of the vote. The 14th Senate District is comprised of all or a portion of the following counties: Fresno, Madera, Mariposa, San Joaquin, Stanislaus, and Tuolumne.

1st Senate District

Dave Cox was elected to the State Senate in November, 2004. He represents the residents of the First Senate District, which includes all or portions of Alpine, Amador, Calaveras, El Dorado, Lassen, Placer, Plumas, Modoc, Mono, Nevada, Sacramento and Sierra Counties.

12th Senate District

In November 2006, Senator Jeff Denham was re-elected to serve a second term representing California’s 12th Senate District, which includes Madera, Merced, Monterey, San Benito and Stanislaus counties.

31st Senate District

Senator Dutton was elected to represent the 31st Senate District in November 2004, after serving two years in the State Assembly representing the 63 rd District. The sprawling 31st Senate District includes portions of Riverside and San Bernardino Counties.

37th Senate District

35th Senate District

Senator Harman was first elected to the State Senate in 2006 after serving nearly six years in the State Assembly, representing the 67th Assembly District. The 35th Senate District covers most of Orange County's coastline.

29th Senate District

Senator Huff was elected to represent the 29th Senate District in November 2008. He previously served in the State Assembly, representing the 60th Assembly District from 2004-2008. Senate District 29 is comprised of portions of Los Angeles County, Orange County and San Bernardino County.

17th Senate District Caucus Chairman

George Runner was elected to the State Senate in 2004. Senate District 17 incorporates portions of Los Angeles, San Bernardino, and Ventura Counties.

19th Senate District

Senator Tony Strickland was elected to the State Assembly in 1998 and to the State Senate in 2008. Senate District 19 incorporates portions of Los Angeles, Ventura, and Santa Barbara counties.

33rd Senate District

Senator Mimi Walters was elected to the State Senate's 33rd District, representing Orange County, in 2008. She had previously served as Assemblywoman for the 73rd District.

38th Senate District

Senator Wyland was elected to the Senate in November, 2006. The 38th Senate District includes northern San Diego County and the southern Orange County cities of San Clemente and San Juan Capistrano.
