Senator Tom Berryhill (R-Modesto) announces the passage of SB 1370. SB 1370 would require the Department of Industrial Relations to put on their website a full list of every statute dealing with state mandated construction wages, or prevailing wage. Prevailing wage statutes are in numerous government code sections, including Fish and Game Code, Streets and Highway Code, Water Code, and Labor Code.

“SB 1370 will make it easier for businesses to determine whether their project is subject to prevailing wage,” said Berryhill. “Having a one-stop shop for all prevailing wage statutes will save time, get projects going and put people to work.”

SB 1370 passed Senate Labor Committee with a 4-0 vote and will next be heard in Senate Appropriations Committee.

Senator Berryhill represents Fresno, Madera, Mariposa, San Joaquin, Stanislaus,  and Tuolumne Counties.
